Salman Khan was spotted at the Mumbai airport in his new Rs 1.5 crore car. The actor is now the owner of a bulletproof Toyota Land Cruiser SUV.
Mumbai police recently approved a firearm licence to Salman Khan. The actor had met Mumbai Police commissioner Vivek Phansalkar in this regard on July 22. This happened after Salman received death threats from jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Amid this, Salman Khan has also reportedly upgraded his Toyota Land Cruiser SUV with armour and bulletproof glass. This new vehicle is worth Rs 1.5 crore.
On Monday, August 1, Salman Khan was snapped by the paparazzi as he arrived in style at the Mumbai airport. He arrived in his Toyota Land Cruiser, which is worth Rs 1.5 crore. Salman amped up his airport style, looking dapper as ever in a pink shirt and black trousers. Talking about Salman's car, the Land Cruiser has a 4461-cc engine and a power of 262 bhp, according to carwale.com. The SUV is available in one variant and has proven-bulletproof reliability. It also has a thick border around the windows, revealing that the car is now armoured and bulletproof.

Salman Khan had applied for the gun licence after he received a death threat letter. "Tumhara Moose wala kar denge (You will suffer the same fate as Moose wala),” the threat note said, referring to the killing of Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose wala in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29. After request from the actor, police forwarded it to DCP zone 9 in whose jurisdiction Salman Khan stays. After getting go ahead from the zonal DCP Salman Khan was issued a licence.
According to Mumbai police he has been issued licence for one firearm. No mention of which firearm he can purchase. Experts suggest that generally for protection a person buys .32 caliber revolver or pistol.
Salman Khan will be making his Tollywood debut with Godfather, which also stars Chiranjeevi. The duo recently shot for a special dance number, which has been choreographed by Prabhudeva. Salman also has Tiger 3 in his kitty where he will share screen space with Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi.
