After Airtel, Vi discontinues Rs 49 entry-level prepaid plan in most circles, plans now begin from Rs 79
India Today
As of now, Vi’s Rs 49 entry-level plan is still active in some states including Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh but reports speculate that it will be discontinued soon.
Last month, Airtel scrapped its entry-level Rs 49 prepaid plan as part of the tariff hikes that have started taking place. The plans for Airtel now start at Rs 79 and offer 200MB data with Rs 64 talktime, and a validity of 28 days. Airtel had noted that the change is in line with the company’s focus on offering superior connectivity solutions. While making the change, Airtel had noted that its customers selecting entry-level recharges will be able to stay connected for longer without worrying about their account balance as the new entry-level Rs 79 plan will give four times the benefits from the previous Rs 49 plan. Reports, however, pointed out the price hike in the plan to be almost 61 per cent.More Related News
