India vs Afghanistan: India hold an edge over Afghanistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup as the two sides have met each other twice and the 2007 Champions emerged victorious on both occasions.
Virat Kohli-led India will look to stretch their unbeaten run over Afghanistan when they take on Mohammed Nabi's side in a must-win Super 12 encounter of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. Notably, India have faced Afghanistan in two matches in the history of the T20 World Cup and on both occasions, the 2007 Champions have emerged victorious in the coveted tournament.
India have suffered heavy defeats in both their T20 World Cups as Pakistan hammered the Virat Kohli-led side by 10 wickets and then New Zealand cruised to an 8-wicket win over the Men in Blue. Whereas Afghanistan have expectedly won their two games against Scotland and Namibia and were in the contest against Pakistan for the better part before, Asif Ali took the game away with four sixes in one over.
