ICC T20 World Cup 2021: Rashid Khan completed 100 T20I wickets to break Lasith Malinga's record and become the fastest bowler to achieve the feat in the shortest format of international cricket.

Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan on Friday broke Lasith Malinga's long-standing record to become the fastest bowler to pick 100 wickets in T20 international cricket but his efforts with the ball went in vain as they couldn't get over the line against Pakistan in their World Cup Super 12 clash.

Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez became Rashid's 100th T20I victim in his 53rd innings.
