
Admit cards, appointment letters, property papers found at Partha Chatterjee's home: ED

Several incriminating documents relating to immovable properties in the name of Arpita Mukherjee and her companies, and documents pertaining to candidates for recruitment to Class C and Class D were recovered from Partha Chatterjee’s home, the probe agency said.
Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee, arrested after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) found Rs 21 crore cash, had amassed huge properties in West Medinipur in the name of BC International School, the financial probe agency said. The English medium school is being looked after by Krishna Chandra Adhikary, the maternal uncle of Partha Chatterjee's son-in-law, it added.
The proceeds of the crime were laundered through his close aide Arpita Mukherjee, who is also in the agency’s custody now.
Several incriminating documents relating to immovable properties in the name of Arpita Mukherjee and her companies have been recovered and seized during searches, the ED said in a statement.
Documents pertaining to candidates for recruitment to Class C and Class D have also been recovered from Partha Chatterjee’s home, it added.

The searches also revealed documents related to the appointment of Group D staff, admit cards of the candidates, summary of final results for the post of Group D staff, intimation letter for verification of testimonials and personality test for the post of clerk of one Indranil Bhattacharya, Group D candidates’ list, admit card of Regional Level Selection Test, 2016 for non-teaching staff (Group D) of one Samapati Thakur, application form of Samapati Thakur, a list of 48 candidates for the post of upper primary teacher with roll numbers indicating that Partha Chatterjee is actively involved appointment of Group D staff, the agency told India Today TV, giving a list of seizures made it so far.
Partha Chatterjee was arrested on Saturday morning, a day after a massive pile of cash was found at his aide’s Kolkata home. The same evening, Mamata Banerjee’s minister was admitted to the state-run SSKM hospital in Kolkata after he complained of uneasiness and chest pain.
