1920 actress Adah Sharma was brutally trolled on social media after a dance video of her dancing to Shake It Like Shammi in front of a British guard went viral. The actress issued a clarification on the matter and also took a dig at the trolls.
Actress Adah Sharma’s Instagram account is all about entertaining content. However, one of her latest posts led to massive social media trolling. The actress was seen dancing and singing to the song, Shake It Like Shammi, from her film, Hasee Toh Phasee, in front of a British guard. Adah’s act didn’t fare well with a section of netizens and that led to massive trolling. Adah has now issued a clarification for the same.
Adah Sharma is a terrific dancer and her Instagram posts boast the same. However, one of her latest posts, wherein she was singing and dancing to Shake It Like Shammi in front of a British guard, backfired and led to immense social media trolling. Adah has now issued a clarification on the matter and instead of deleting the video, re-posted it to explain its context. She wrote, “Friends and my dear countrymen, lend me your ears this is not to burry my instagram post (that everyone is resharing.scroll down on my feed to check authenticity) (sic).”
She further added, “REPOSTING it again. This video was not shot at Buckingham palace. But yes it is on London ground. Photography was allowed here and this video was shot with full assent taken from all quarters. The tourism campaign team asked me to sing a song.. i chose to sing in hindi. This video was shot pre covid times. P.S.The British ruled our land for almost 200 years . They were large hearted enough to allow an Indian girl to sing a hindi song on their soil(with permissions taken) But it makes me proud to see my own countrymens largeheartedness to stand up so solidly for the British. It shows how seriously we Indians follow ' Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam ' JaiHind! (sic).”
Not just this, Adah also took a dig at the trolls and wrote, “FREE GYM PACKAGE !!chalo all you beuatiful sofa aalus Jinko excersise nahi karni hai ,Come! jump into conclusions in my comment section and burn calories FOR FREE offer valid till 1920 (sic)”, on the comment section and also, on her Instagram stories.
