Actress Stella Stevens, known for "The Nutty Professor," dies at 84

Stella Stevens, a prominent leading lady in 1960s and 1970s comedies and perhaps best known for playing the object of Jerry Lewis's affection in "The Nutty Professor," has died. She was 84.
Her son, Andrew Stevens, confirmed her death to CBS News in a statement Friday, saying that she "had been hospice for quite some time" after a battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Stella is also survived by three grandchildren, her son said.
