India Today
The Aam Aadmi Party tweeted a scene from the movie Welcome to attack the grand old party over the defections in Goa. The Congress hit back with the song 'de daaru', a clear reference to the Delhi liquor scam.
Congress’s Goa MLAs joining the BJP, decimating the party in the coastal state, has triggered a meme-fest on Twitter. The Aam Aadmi Party tweeted a scene from the movie Welcome to attack the grand old party.
The clip from the movie is an auction of the paintings of Anil Kapoor - who plays Majnu bhai, a gangster with an interest in painting, a reference to Congress MLAs being bought by the highest bidder, the BJP. In the AAP's post, the auctioneer is Rahul Gandhi, who is seen selling his MLAs to a superimposed face of Amit Shah who screams the highest bid.

The caption read: “Salesman of the Decade - Congress. #BikGayiCongress (Congress is sold).”
Not one to stay quiet, the Congress soon hit back. This time it is a song - De daaru - from the 1986 film Karma starring Naseeruddin Shah, Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor.
“Theke-daaru (contracts alcohol) --- AAP,” the Congress wrote.
