The Aam Adami Party's Goa president said that they will volunteer to adopt government-run primary schools that are either likely to be closed down or merged with other institutions due to low enrollment.
On Tuesday, the Aam Admi Party, AAP, said they volunteered to adopt government-run primary schools that are either likely to be closed down or merged with other institutions due to low enrollment.
While speaking to the reporters, AAP's Goa unit president, Amit Palekar, said that the state government wants to merge or shut down the primary schools that are functioning with just one teacher or have a lower number of students.
He added that the party can adopt such schools and can make a difference the way its government has done in Delhi schools.
He further said that many students won’t be able to travel to far-off places to attend schools and they would rather drop out.
