Former Karnataka top cop Bhaskar Rao, who recently joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said that the AAP model is of honest and clean governance.
Former Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao, who joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), said people are fed up with the mainstream parties and their ideologies, and claimed that the AAP model will bring 'honest and clean governance'.
Speaking to the media, Bhaskar Rao said, "I’ve joined AAP because, with the mainstream parties, it is the same leader and same ideology. The model became old. We’ve to aggressively build the party and form a narrative. People are fed up with mainstream parties. Our model is of honest and clean governance. Give us a chance and we will show you."
Rao said ordinary citizens expect quality schools and hospitals and not 'VIP culture'. According to Rao, AAP brought a fresh model and won in Delhi and Punjab.

Bhaskar Rao's decision to join AAP comes a year ahead of 2023 Karnataka Assembly elections in which the party is trying to make inroads into state politics.
"I’m here to contest elections and not just give speeches. Six thousand gram Panchayats and other booths, we need to make workers everywhere," Rao said.
"We’re all Indians. All governments should treat citizens with love. If we bring hatred and differences then it’s not done. Let love and affection prevail upon the citizen. The citizens are fed up," he added.
