Aamir's demand of Rs 8 crore prompted Rakeysh Mehra to finish Rang De Basanti early

In his autobiography, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra revealed that Aamir Khan demanded double the amount if he's not paid on time for Rang De Basanti. Aamir played one of the lead characters in the 2006 film.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra recently released his autobiography, The Stranger in the Mirror. In the book, which is co-written by Reeta Ramamurthy Gupta, the filmmaker made many revelations about his films and life. In a new excerpt from the film, he shared that Aamir Khan demanded to be paid double the amount, Rs 8 crore, in case Rang De Basanti (RDB) was delayed. And this made the director make the film before its deadline. Rang De Basanti was released on January 26, 2006.
