Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan was honored at the Macau International Comedy Festival in China on Sunday, an event he attended with his partner Gauri Spratt in their first public appearance together.
In several pictures from the event, Aamir and Gauri can be seen sharing the stage with Chinese actors Shen Teng and Ma Li, who were also honoured at the event. One of the pictures even shows the four making heart shapes with their hands as they pose for the cameras.
Aamir can be seen wearing a black kurta-pyjama, paired with a golden shawl, while Gauri looked elegant in a floral saree.
Aamir, affectionately called ‘Uncle Aamir’ in China, enjoys tremendous fan following in the country. Several of his films, including 3 Idiots, PK and Secret Superstar, turned out to be blockbusters in China. Notably, his wrestling drama, Dangal, collected more than Rs. 1000 crores in Chinese theatres.
Interestingly, Aamir, Shen Teng and Ma Li will reportedly close the Macau comedy festival with a discussion titled ‘Laughter Is The Best Medicine.’
Notably, Aamir had introduced Gauri on March 14 during his birthday celebrations. The star revealed that they have known each other for 25 years but started dating over a year ago.
Gauri Spratt hails from Bengaluru and is a mother to a six-year-old son. She has a background in fashion, styling, and photography, having studied at the University of Arts, London. She is of mixed heritage — half Tamilian and half Irish — and her grandfather was a freedom fighter. Currently, she is working in production in Aamir’s production banner.
