Aamir Khan, At His Candid Best, Recalls First Heartbreak: "She Doesn't Know"

Aamir Khan was at his candid best during the song launch of Laal Singh Chaddha track Phir Na Aisi Raat Ayegi, which has been sung by Arijit Singh. The song is about heartbreak and unrequitted love and the actor spoke about experiencing both. During the song launch, Aamir Khan recalled that he was once in love with a girl, with whom he played tennis regularly. However, he was heartbroken when she left the country and she had no idea about the way Aamir Khan felt about her. News agency ANI quoted Aamir as saying, "This was the time when I used to play tennis, she was also in the same club with me, and one fine day I found out that she left the country with her family. I was very heartbroken, and the tricky part is that she doesn't know."

However, there was one good thing that happened, Aamir's tennis skills improved big time. Aamir told ANI, "Bas ek hi cheez achi hui ki main bohot accha tennis player ban gaya, later after some years, I played tennis in state-level championships and became a state-level champion."

Aamir Khan was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two kids. Ira, the younger of Aamir Khan's two children with his first wife Reena Dutta, made her directorial debut with a theatrical adaptation of Euripides' Medea, which featured Hazel Keech in the titular role. It premiered in different cities across India in December 2019. Ira has studied music, while her brother Junaid often assists father Aamir Khan in filmmaking.
