Aaj Tak Impact: Sanitisation, testing and medication for Covid begins in 2 Lucknow villages

A day after Aaj Tak exposed the poor medical infrastructure in two Lucknow villages, the authorities launched a drive for sanitisation, testing and medicine distribution to help locals fight Covid-19 pandemic.
Until last week, the people of Indara and Kumhrava villages in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow were helpless against the Covid1-9 pandemic. Even as the pandemic claimed 15 lives in the two villages, people were unable to get any help from the authorities. There were not enough medicines, ambulances did not arrive on time and testing facilities were out of reach. But all that changed when Aaj Tak reported their plight. A day after the report aired, the villages were abuzz with teams conducting random Covid testing, sanitisation and creating nigrani samitis. Thanking Aaj Tak, a farmer from Indara village, Amrendra Singh Bhadoria, said that it was the story’s impact that made the administration send teams to look after those who are suffering.More Related News
