Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh and wife attend celestial wedding at Mangalagiri temple, receiving blessings and presenting silk garments.
Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education and IT, Nara Lokesh, along with his wife Nara Brahmani, participated in the grand Kalyana Mahotsavam (celestial wedding) of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at the historic Mangalagiri temple on Thursday (March 13, 2025) at midnight. The event was part of the temple’s annual Brahmotsavam celebrations.
On behalf of the state government, Minister Lokesh and his wife presented pattu vastrams (silk garments) to the deity. Amidst Vedic chants and traditional mangala vadyam (auspicious music), the couple witnessed the divine wedding and sought the blessings of the presiding deity.
As part of the rituals, temple priests conducted Vishwaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam, Raksha Bandhanam, Madhuparka Nivedana, Swami Pada Pooja, special archana, Maha Sankalpam, Muthyapu Thalambaralu, Brahma Mudi, and Mangala Harathi. The priests also bestowed blessings upon Minister Lokesh and his wife on this occasion.
Earlier, temple authorities extended a grand welcome to the Minister and his wife upon their arrival at the temple premises. A large number of devotees gathered to witness the sacred event and offer prayers.
