A.P. Minister Bharat meets Rajnath Singh, seeks steps for speedy implementation of defence-related projects.
Andhra Pradesh Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharat met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Wednesday, and requested him to take steps for speedy implementation of the defence-related projects in the State.
They discussed the progress of various projects in Andhra Pradesh, and Mr. Rajnath Singh reportedly responded positively to the requests made by the Minister.
Mr. Bharat highlighted the efforts being made by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to develop the State in all sectors. Mr. Rajnath Singh assured Mr. Bharat that he would closely monitor the status of the projects by conducting a review every fortnight.
Mr. Bharat emphasised that the State had ample opportunities for investments in diverse sectors, while stating that the government was granting approvals for projects and resolving issues promptly.
In a separate meeting, Mr. Bharat urged Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu to introduce a flight between Kurnool and Vijayawada, noting that it would be useful to entrepreneurs visiting Orvakal, which was being developed as a major industrial hub.
