Some areas of New Brunswick have no access to 911 services.
New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization tweeted that it's seen reports of telephone service disruptions.
"Connection to 9-1-1 emergency services may be impacted. If you can't reach 9-1-1, contact your local police or fire department," the organization said.
The Saint John Police Force and the City of Fredericton have confirmed 911 is not working.
Fredericton police said residents of the city please should call the force at 506-460-2300, while people outside the city limits should call their local RCMP detachment.
Saint John police said that in an emergency, people should call the force at at 506-648-3333.
"Provincial NB911 is working to resolve the matter," the force said.
An emergency notification has been sent out about 911 disruptions in Nova Scotia, but not for New Brunswick as of 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
