84 persons caught smuggling petrol, diesel into Bihar from Nepal in 6 months: Govt

In a written reply in Rajya Sabha, MoS Home Nityanand Rai said the Bihar government has informed that almost 84 persons have apprehended in the last six months for smuggling cheaper petrol and diesel.

The Centre on Wednesday said that 84 persons have been apprehended in the last six months for smuggling of petrol and diesel into Bihar from Nepal. In a written reply in Rajya Sabha, MoS Home Nityanand Rai said the Bihar government has informed that roughly 84 persons have apprehended in the last six months for smuggling cheaper petrol and diesel. He added that some of the incidents were reported from East Champaran, West Champaran and Araria.
