A 7-year-old boy in Italy was stabbed to death by his father while spending New Year’s Eve with him, believed to be an act of revenge on the man's estranged wife.

A 7-year-old boy in Italy was stabbed to death by his estranged father while spending New Year’s Eve with him, according to a report by the Mirror.

The boy’s father, 40-year-old Davide Paitoni, was in the process of separating from his wife, who had in the past reported him to the police for domestic violence. Moreover, he had been placed under house arrest for trying to stab a colleague at work.
