7 people drown in Himachal Pradesh’s Gobind Sagar Lake

A total of seven people drowned in the Gobind Sagar Lake in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district.
As many as seven youths drowned in the Gobind Sagar Lake in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district on Monday.
Police said the deceased had come to visit the lake from Punjab’s Mohali.
According to police officials, 11 youths from Mohali had come to visit the area and had gone for a bath in the lake.

They said only four people made it and the rest died. Police and disaster management teams reached the spot soon after.
Una District Emergency Operational Centre (DEOC) said the incident of drowning occurred at Gobind Sagar Lake near the Garib Nath temple in the Bangana sub-division.
Police said they had started investigating and further information was awaited.
