68 Taliban militants killed, 74 wounded in security operations in Afghanistan

At least 68 Taliban militants were killed and 74 others were wounded in government security operations in Afghanistan in the past 24 hours, the Afghan Ministry of Defence (MoD) said in a released statement on Wednesday. The operations were reportedly conducted in Herat, Faryab, Farah, Badakhshan, Kunduz and Kandahar provinces. Fawad Aman, deputy spokesman for the Ministry of Defence tweeted on Wednesday that 211 Taliban placed IEDs were also discovered and defused in different parts of the country in the past 24 hours, according to (Khaama Press). MoD in another released statement indicated that Afghan national defence and security forces backed by air support launched several operations in Arghandab and Zherai districts of Kandahar province.More Related News
