Six people have died and seven more are critical after allegedly consuming spurious liquor in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras district, police said. A large group of people from a family had gathered at the shrine of Shaheed Baba Pir in Nagla Daya village of Hathras district. As per custom, liquor is offered to the deity and then distributed to devotees as ''prasad''. A total of 24 people had consumed the liquor that had been offered at the shrine. After about an hour, they started feeling sick and were taken to the district hospital. However, five people had died till then.More Related News
