Six Congress MLAs and one former PCC chief have demanded Navjot Singh Siddhu to remove Rana Gurjeet Singh's name from the proposed Punjab cabinet list due to his involvement in the "mining scandal".

Six Congress MLAs from Doaba and one former Punjab Congress Committee President demanded Navjot Singh Siddhu to remove Rana Gurjeet Singh from the proposed cabinet list due to his involvement in the "mining scandal" and instead 'include a clean Dalit face in view of upcoming polls."

This comes hours after Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi finalized the names of his cabinet ministers after holding discussions with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and central high command.
