50% posts of registrar and assistant registrar to be filled by promotion in UP

The selection criteria for the posts of registrar and assistant registrar in UP state universities has changed; 50% posts of registrar and assistant registrar will now be filled through promotion.

In an important decision taken by the UP government, the selection criteria for the posts of Registrar and Assistant Registrar in state universities has changed. In both the posts, 50% of the seats will be filled by direct recruitment and an equal number of posts will be filled by promotion of the respective cadre. This step will speed up the admission test and result declaration of the students.
