Four MLAs from the Asaduddin Owaisi-led All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen are set to join the RJD in Bihar.
Four MLAs from the Asaduddin Owaisi-led All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen are set to join the RJD in Bihar.Shahnawaz Alam from Jokihat, Izhar Aspi from Kochadhaman, Anzar Naimi from Bahadurganj, and Syed Ruknddin Ahmed from Bayasi are the four MLAs who will join Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD.
This is a major jolt to AIMIM as now the party has only one MLA — Akhtarul Iman from Amaur — in the Bihar Assembly.
However, AIMIM leader Akhtarul Imam had recently said that being a small party in Bihar, big parties are approaching our party MLAs after the result of the 2020 assembly elections.
The RJD currently has 76 MLAs in the Bihar Assembly while the BJP has 77. With this defection, RJD will have 80 MLAs in the Assembly.
