In October 2019, former Aviation Minister Praful Patel was questioned for over 12 hours in connection with the case.
Four floors of a commercial building in Worli, owned by former Aviation minister and Nationalist Congress Party leader Praful Patel, have been attached by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering case involving Iqbal Mirchi, a close aide of gangster Dawood Ibrahim.
A firm owned by Patel and his family had developed Ceejay House on a plot where Mirchi also had some properties.
Two floors of Ceejay House, given to Iqbal Mirchi's family, were attached by the financial probe agency earlier.
In October 2019, Praful Patel was questioned for over 12 hours in the case. Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawn, the promoters of DHFL, were arrested. Dheeraj Wadhawan was later granted bail.
Iqbal Mirchi's wife and sons have been declared as fugitive economic offenders by a PMLA court as they failed to appear in the case. Properties belonging to Mirchi in Dubai and the UK have also been attached by the ED.
