4 accused in cases of Bengal post-poll violence surrender as CBI intensifies probe

Sources told India Today that several accused in cases of West Bengal post-poll violence surrendered before the CBI as the agency intensified its probe.

As Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) intensified its probe into post-poll violence in West Bengal, several accused in cases of rape and murder have surrendered before the investigating agency, sources told India Today. Since the beginning of its investigation, the CBI has managed to arrest 20 individuals accused in various cases of post-poll violence. Four separate teams of the CBI have been formed to track down the remaining accused.
