South Africa were 6 runs ahead of the par score (DLS method) when the heavens opened up in Lucknow. The play did not resume before the cut-off time of 4:41 pm IST and the visitors finished on the right side of the result. Chasing 249, South Africa got off to a fine start with Lizelle Lee and Laura Wolvaardt taking them to 41 in 10 overs. However, Deepti Sharma provided India the breakthrough by castling Wolvaardt in the 10th over. Jhulan Goswami, in her second spell, came back to snap a 40-run stand by getting Lara Goodall for 16 but Lee and Mignon du Preez stitched a 97-run stand to put South Africa on the course of a big win.More Related News
