Wasim Akram has launched a scathing attack on the Pakistani batters after their recent loss to England in the sixth T20I. Akram grilled Pakistan batting coach Mohammed Yousuf with a damning verdict.
Wasim Akram has delivered a damning verdict on Pakistan's batters and grilled the batting coach Mohammed Yousuf over their versatility.
Pakistan suffered an eight-wicket loss in the sixth T20I against England with the decider to be played on Sunday. The batters of the hosts have been inconsistent throughout the series and Akram isn't best pleased with it.
During a television chat with batting coach Yousuf, the bowling legend slammed the Pakistan batters for not being versatile and said that none of them even put in an effort to do something out of the ordinary.
Akram poked fun at the batting coach to ask the players to play at least shots across 180 degrees of the ground as 360 would be tough for them.
"Ben Duckett doesn't let the bowlers, especially the spinners settle when they come on to bowl. He plays shots everywhere. If I were playing against Pakistan, I would know where the batters would hit their shots. They are not versatile. No one even tries to do something out of the ordinary."
"360 is a bit too much to ask for, just play 180 degrees. This is the practice you do, and if you do then why don't you apply in the match," Akram told Yousuf.
