31-year-old Netflix star diagnosed with brain tumor
Fox News
"Tiny Pretty Things" star Barton Cowperthwaite shared on social media that he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and will be undergoing surgery soon.
He continued, "The only course of treatment for something like this is brain surgery. Docs so far have been confident that they’ll be able to remove most of the tumor, and that after a successful operation, and some rehab, I will be operating like my (amazing, talented, brilliant, hilarious) self."
According to the Mayo Clinic, a glioma is "a growth of cells that starts in the brain or spinal cord. The cells in a glioma look similar to healthy brain cells called glial cells. Glial cells surround nerve cells and help them function." A post shared by Barton Cowperthwaite (@bartonc) A post shared by Barton Cowperthwaite (@bartonc)
