31,308 students to write II PU examination in Dakshina Kannada

A total of 31,308 II PU students from Dakshina Kannada are eligible to write the examination in 51 centres in the district

A total of 31,308 II PU students from Dakshina Kannada are eligible to write the examination in 51 centres in the district. The examination will be held between April 22 and May 18.

Deputy Director of Pre-University Department, Dakshina Kannada, Jayanna said of the 31,308 students, 15,652 are boys and the remaining 15,656 are girls. Highest of 14,987 students are from Commerce, 11,992 from Science, and 4,329 are from Arts.

Of the 51 examination centres, 16 are in aided colleges and 12 are in government Pre University colleges. As many as 14 route officers have been appointed, he said.

In a virtual meeting to review examination preparation, Deputy Commissioner K.V. Rajendra recently told officials to ensure proper sanitisation of all the examination halls. Dr. Rajendra said orders prohibiting movement of persons within 200 metres radius of the examination centres will be in force during examination.

He asked tahsildars to be in constant touch with the Deputy Director of the Pre-University Education Department. Officials should arrange proper security arrangements at all the examination centres.

Dr. Rajendra asked students to write the examination with an open mind by following the necessary rules.
