3 ministers from Agra inducted to UP Cabinet; confirms India Today predictions
India Today
India Today's prediction of three of 9 MLAs from Agra being inducted into the UP Cabinet comes true.
As soon as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won all nine assembly seats in Agra, India Today had predicted that at least three of these 9 MLAs would make it to the UP Cabinet.
The three names predicted by India Today were Baby Rani Maurya, Yogendra Upadhyay, and Dr. Dharmpal Singh. Although Dr. Singh did not make it to the cabinet, Agra MLC Dr Dharmveer Prajapati was inducted into the Yogi cabinet as minister of state, partly confirming India Today's prediction that the Yogi cabinet will have three ministers from Agra.
Senior citizen and an intellectual, Uma Shanker Sharma, said that in the 2017 elections too, the BJP had won all 9 Agra assembly seats.

At that time, Yogi Adityanath had inducted two Agra MLAs Ch. Udaybhan Singh and Dr. G S Dharmesh in his cabinet as ministers of state. This time, when the results were declared on March 10, speculations had started about how many ministers from Agra would be in the new Yogi cabinet. The India Today prediction of 3 ministers was correct.
Sharma said that although the people of Agra were expecting that Babyrani Maurya, who won from Agra (Rural) (Reserve) seat, will be given the Deputy Chief Minister's portfolio, India Today had predicted that she will be given a cabinet rank, which also again to be right.
Sharma said that Yogendra Upadhyay has won the seat the third time in a row, so it was natural that he will be rewarded with a position in the cabinet, although the name of Dr. Dharmpal Singh being dropped from the cabinet did come as a surprise.
