Three people were killed and five critically injured near Polji Dairy in Jaisalmer, after electric current passed through the bus while they were returning from Tembade Rai Temple.
At least three people were killed and five critically injured after an electric current passed through the bus in which they were travelling.
The accident happened near Polji Dairy in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, when the passengers were returning from Tembade Rai Temple.
The SP confirmed the death of three people and injuries to five, adding that two of them are in critical condition who have been referred to Jodhpur for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the deceased have been identified as Ranaram Meghwal and Narayan Ram Meghwal (real brothers), both residents of Khinya village, and Padmaram Meghwal.
Taking to Twitter, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot mourned the loss of people who died in the Jaisalmer bus mishap.
Paying his condolences, he wrote in Hindi, which could be translated as, "The death of three people due to electrocution in a bus in Jaisalmer is extremely sad. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family, may God give them strength in this difficult time and may the soul of the departed rest in peace. Wishing speedy recovery to the injured in the accident." (sic)
