3 critical as signboard falls on vehicles in Chennai

A signboard fell on vehicles in Chennai, injuring three people whose condition is said to be critical.

Three people sustained critical injuries after an overhead signboard fell on top of vehicles in Tamil Nadu's Chennai on Sunday.

The incident occurred on a busy flyover at Kathipara after a bus rammed into an iron pillar supporting the signboard.

According to police sources, no casualties have been reported yet in the accident that took place near the Alandur metro station.

Three people, however, were seriously injured and are being treated at a nearby hospital.

The incident has also caused massive traffic disruption on the route.
