Authorities in California on Friday identified three police officers who were involved in the fatal shooting of a fugitive following an 11-hour SWAT standoff in San Diego earlier this week.
Suspect Christopher Marquez, 36, led police on a pursuit through San Diego that started with an attempted traffic stop Monday evening and ended with the standoff at San Diego High School near the city’s downtown. Marquez allegedly fired at pursuing officers multiple times during the chase. The officers were identified as National City Officer Robert Rude Jr. and San Diego police SWAT team Officers Brandon Jordan and Brandon Gibson, the Union-Tribune reported.More Related News
