2nd Test: Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah put up record partnership to hand India advantage
India Today
Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah scored their best-ever Test scores and went past Kapil Dev and Madan Lal in putting the highest ninth wicket stand for India in a Test match in England.
Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah wrestled advantage India's way on the fifth day of the 2nd Test against England at Lord's. The pair ensured that India survived the first session despite the visitors losing Rishabh Pant, the only recognised batsman left, early in the day. The pair came back to bat for just nine balls in the second session, with a significant stoppage after the first over as Shami changed his thigh pads, before India declared. The partnership thus ended on 89 not out, which is India's highest away from home for the ninth wicket.More Related News
