"27 PLA aircraft... entered the surrounding area of (Republic of China) on August 3, 2022," the defence ministry said in a tweet.

Taiwan maintained a defiant tone during Pelosi's visit while a furious China geared up for military exercises dangerously close to the island’s shores in retaliation for the visit.
The Air defense identification zone (ADIZ) is not the same as Taiwan’s territorial airspace but includes a far greater area that overlaps with part of China's own air defence identification zone and even includes some of the mainland.
