24 new COVID-19 cases reported in Waterloo region Monday

Region of Waterloo Public Health reported 24 new cases of COVID-19 in the community on Monday.
There were 202 active cases. There were 11 people infectious with the virus in the region's three hospitals and nine people in the hospitals' intensive care units. There were no new deaths reported Monday. There were five active outbreaks in the region: There were five confirmed cases within the Waterloo Region District School Board, with a single case at each affected school. The schools remain open.
