India Today
Dr Shagun Batra from Delhi has topped the NEET PG 2022 exam. The 23-year-old was also a school topper and an MBBS gold medallist.
The NEET PG 2022 result was declared on Wednesday by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences and Dr Shagun Batra topped the all-India medical entrance exam, followed by Dr Joseph and Dr Harshita.
The young lady had topped her school -- Delhi Public School RK Puram (New Delhi) in her Class 12 board exam as well. She had topped her class all through her school days.
In 2016, she took admission to Delhi’s Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) and was a gold medallist in her MBBS batch throughout.
Even with her winning streak, she says that she hadn’t expected to become the NEET topper as well. This was her first time appearing for a postgraduate competitive exam.
She says her parents are over the moon about her big win. She is the first doctor in her family. Her father works in the IT sector while her mother is a homemaker.
She is planning to take up MD in medicine and go for a super specialisation.
