
23 deputy superintendents of Tihar jail transferred after Rs 200-crore extortion racket case

On August 17, DG Tihar transferred 23 deputy jail superintendents after the 200 crore rupees extortion case, in which conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar is accused, gained momentum.
Twenty-three deputy superintendents have been transferred by the Tihar jail administration after conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar's extortion racket, running from inside the jail, came to light. Lodged at Delhi's Rohini jail as under trial, Sukesh Chandrashekhar has been accused of extorting Rs 200 crore from a businessman over a period of one year. He also has over 20 other cases of extortion against him and operated a racket from inside his jail cell.More Related News
