209 kg ganja worth Rs 25 lakh seized at Assam-Tripura border, 2 held

The Assam police arrested two people and seized 209 kg of ganja on Saturday. The value of the seized ganja is estimated to be around Rs 25 lakh.

Assam police seized 209 kg of ganja worth Rs 25 lakh and arrested two people in Assam's Karimganj district, near the state's border with Tripura.

A police official from Karimganj district said that, based on secret information, the police team posted at Churaibari police station had intercepted a 12-wheeler truck which was coming from the Tripura side towards Guwahati.
