Former India fast bowler Ashish Nehra said that he was informed by the team management that he will not be able to participate in the World Cup final because of the injury that he had sustained on his finger.
Former India fast bowler Ashish Nehra missed playing the final of the 2011 World Cup due to a fractured finger, but that did not stop him from traveling to Mumbai to be there when India made history by winning their second World Cup title. Nehra said that he knew 48 hours before the final that he will not be able to feature in the iconic match, but he still wanted to be with the team and assist them in whatever way he could. “I came to know 48 hours before the final that I was not playing.
