2-vehicle collision snarls traffic on Adelaide Street

A collision between a car and minivan shut down traffic on Adelaide Street, north of Oxford Street Thursday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the crash at Wallace Street just after 11 a.m.
London police said those involved in the collision were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. London firefighters has to perform an extrication at the scene.
"We heard this massive crash. It shook the house," said Lesia Tichelaar, who lives in the home directly in front of the crash site.
Tichelaar said she saw five people in the aftermath, with some being extricated and helped from the vehicles by first responders.
Police have not yet confirmed how many people were involved in the crash.
Police have closed the southbound lanes of Adelaide Street at Grosvenor Street and the northbound lanes at St. James Street.
There is no word on when the roadway is expected to reopen.
