Two days after a video of some people offering namaz inside Lucknow’s Lulu Mall went viral on social media, police arrested two men for reciting Hanuman Chalisa in the mall.
Two days after a video of some people offering namaz inside Lucknow’s Lulu Mall went viral on social media, police arrested two men for reciting Hanuman Chalisa in the mall.
After people spotted the two youths reciting Hanuman Chalisa and chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’, the security guards of the mall caught the youths and handed them over to the police.

Police arrested the duo and sent them to jail. Police also arrested around 15 people for holding a protest seeking permission to recite Hanuman Chalisa at Lulu Mall.
On Friday, police arrested four people for reciting Sundar Kand outside the entrance gate of the mall. The accused were arrested by Sushant Golf city police and sent to judicial custody for violating Section 144.
Now, Lulu Mall will be under drone camera surveillance. Police Commissioner DK Thakur gave instructions to increase security at Lulu Mall. Police will monitor outside Lulu Mall with drone cameras. Police will keep an eye on all kinds of activities. Drone cameras will be flown in for monitoring at major intersections leading to Lulu Mall.
Earlier on Thursday, the mall authorities had filed a police complaint after a video showing a group of people offering namaz at the mall premises surfaced on social media.
