2 killed, 6 injured after tanker hits van on Khatoli-Budhana road in UP

A tanker hit a van on Khatoli-Budhana road in UP on Tuesday night, killing two people and injuring six others.

At least two people were killed and six others were injured after the van they were travelling in was hit by a tanker on Khatoli-Budhana road in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday night.

As per PTI reports, the accident occurred on Khatoli-Budhana road near the Sathedi Ganga canal, killing two van passengers. Meanwhile, six injured passengers were rushed to a hospital, where their condition is stated to be stable.

The deceased have been identified as Hafiz Shahid (60) and Jayawati (50).

The tanker driver fled the spot soon after the accident. Efforts are being made to arrest the driver.
