2 drug dealers arrested with over 26 kg hashish in Jammu

The Anti-Narcotic Task Force has arrested two narco dealers and recovered a huge quantity of hashish from their possession.
The Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) has arrested two narco dealers and recovered a huge quantity of hashish from a vehicle that was coming from Srinagar.
On receiving a specific input, ANTF launched a search operation for the said truck which was found parked near transport yard Narwal-Channi, Jammu.
On thorough checking of said vehicle, a huge quantity of hashish was recovered and two narco dealers were arrested from the said vehicle, who has been identified as Ghulam Geelani Khan, son of Mangta Khan and Basharat Ahmad, son of Noor Alam—both residents of Pehli-pura, Baramulla.
A total contraband hashish weighing 26.580 kgs (approx) has been recovered which was being carried by these smugglers for delivery outside the J&K UT.
Accordingly, an FIR under section 08/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station ANTF Jammu.
The investigation is at an initial stage and ANTF is investigating the forward and backward links of this consignment and more arrests are expected.
Moreover, ANTF has appealed the general public to share any information regarding such narco dealers, so that strict actions under the law can be taken against them.
