
2 dead in Delhi after falling in sewage pit

The incident comes two days after four people were killed after falling into a sewer in Delhi’s Rohini area.
Two people working at a plant in Delhi’s Dallupura area have died after falling into a pit of a sewage plant of the Delhi Jal Board this evening, the police said.
On being alerted, the police reached the spot and rescued them with the help of the fire brigade, before taking them to the hospital, where the doctors declared them dead.
The victims, 25-year-old Nitesh and 35-year-old Yashdev, were both residents of Uttar Pradesh. A case has been registered by the police in the case.
The incident comes two days after four people were killed after falling into a sewer in Delhi’s Rohini area. The police were alerted about the incident around 6:30 pm last evening when they recovered the bodies.
Reportedly, three men had fallen down the sewer line and the fourth person, a rickshaw driver, went in to rescue them, but got trapped as well.
