1st ODI: India suffer injury scare as Shreyas Iyer walks off the field with left shoulder pain

India vs England: Shreyas Iyer injured his left shoulder while fielding in England's run chase in the ongoing first ODI in Pune on Tuesday.

India suffered a big blow on Tuesday as batsman Shreyas Iyer walked off the field after injuring his shoulder during England's run chase in the 1st ODI in Pune. Shreyas dived to save a boundary in the 8th over bowled by Shardul Thakur and started writhing in pain immediately as he clutched his left shoulder. The Indian team physiotherapist came out to treat the 26-year-old before deciding to take him off the field. Shubman Gill came on the field as a substitute fielder to replace Iyer, who scored just 6 runs in India's total.
