At least 19 people died after a four-storey building in Mumbai’s Kurla collapsed on Monday night. According to the Mumbai Police, an additional 15 people were injured in the incident with rescue operations still going on to retrieve those buried under the debris.
Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered against the landlords under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPS).

2) Maharashtra cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray visited the site of the incident on Tuesday. He said authorities are reviewing the notices issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to the dilapidated buildings to look into evacuation and demolition of such structures.
