The Election Commission of India is all set to conduct the Presidential polls on July 18 for the election of the 16th President of India.

The term of President Ram Nath Kovind is coming to an end on July 24.
Nominations for the Presidential election will begin on June 15 and the last date for filing nominations is June 29.
The scrutiny of nominations will be done on June 30 and the last date for withdrawing nominations is July 2.
Election Commission has made it very clear that the pens given by them need to be the ones to be used to cast votes. If any other pen is used, then the vote will be considered null and void.
No other means of voting will be counted, except the secret ballot with the use of the pen given by ECI.
Voters need to mark their preferences in numbers only. Electors have to mark preferences against the names of the candidates. Preference can be marked in the international format of Indian numerals, in Roman format, or in the form in any recognised Indian language. Preference has to be marked in figures only and not indicated in words.
